LEND Fellowship in Occupational Therapy

The Learning and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program at the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) is currently accepting applications for a 9-10 month training program for licensed occupational therapists. This position starts September 2015.  An Occupational Therapy Fellow in the LEND program at CDRC should be a top student in the field of occupational therapy. A fellow should have a strong interest in becoming a leader in the field of pediatric occupational therapy through teaching, research, clinical practice, and/or administration/policy-making. The OT Fellow will train alongside other disciplines including developmental pediatricians, psychologists, speech and language pathologists, physical therapists, audiologists, and social work.  A modest stipend is provided.

The Fellowship in Occupational Therapy includes:

  • Active participation in clinical care at CDRC clinics in Doernbecher Children's Hospital
  • Mentored research project and research presentation
  • Community placement
  • Leadership and teaching opportunities
  • Weekly interdisciplinary forums with LEND fellows with topics related to community outreach, policy development, and family issues that affect children with disabilities
  • Opportunities for continuing education
