In addition to the College of Medicine, the UI Health Sciences campus includes the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC, one of the nation's largest teaching hospitals), the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hardin Health Sciences Library, and the Colleges of Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health. These diverse resources comprise a highly effective information dissemination and technical assistance resource for the state, including rural areas.

The Iowa City/Coralville area consistently ranks as a top community in which to live, work, play, and raise a family. This diverse community offers a vast array of resources and opportunities on par with larger cities but with the charm of a friendly Midwestern town.
