 PEDIATRIC SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS

Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD., is an internationally recognized institution dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with pediatric developmental disabilities and disorders of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system, through patient care, special education, research, and professional training.

We are currently seeking talented staff and senior CCC-SLPs with relevant experience (CF-SLPs may apply for positions available in spring-summer, 2015).  Collaborate with a group of capable, dedicated SLPs and professionals in other disciplines (e.g., audiology, medicine, behavior/neuropsychology, OT, PT, nutrition, psychiatry, and social work). 

• Outpatient clinical speech-language program: Employ interdisciplinary perspective in evaluating and treating communication and feeding/swallowing disorders in patients 0-21 years of age. Offer parent training and direct service to children who may have medical, genetic, behavioral, cognitive, or other neurodevelopmental difficulties, in addition to communication disorders.

• Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD):  Partner with SLPs at the CARD providing outpatient interdisciplinary and single discipline evaluation and treatment services to children suspected of or having an autism spectrum diagnosis (ASD). SLPs at CARD also provide intensive communication and social skills training through programs targeting toddler and preschool-aged children.
