Associate Director, Tisch Programs, Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service - Tufts University, Medford, MA

This position requires some evening and weekend work as well as domestic travel.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Tisch Programs, the Associate Director of Tisch Programs will drive the development and delivery of a portfolio of student programs aligned with the mission of Tisch College.

Specifically, the Associate Director will:

  • Develop, implement, manage, and evaluate programs.
  • Design and further strategies to involve student organizations in activities and programs, promoting collaboration and linkages. Identify opportunities to strengthen these networks.
  • Administer, guide, and provide consultative direction to student groups including Greek organizations, volunteer services, and the Leonard Carmichael Society.
  • Foster a supportive and dynamic environment which integrates the intellectual, social, cultural, and emotional development of students.
  • Work to ensure the academic quality, integrity, and continuous improvement of curricular content for programs; develop curriculum components as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships and inspire professionalism, camaraderie, commitment, and an appreciation for the value of working across differences among Tisch constituents.
  • Work with Tisch and institutional researchers to evaluate effectiveness of programs.
  • Serve as an advocate and a resource for underrepresented students.

Basic Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of progressively complex program experience with secondary or higher education students.
  • 5-8 years of experience related to civic engagement, nonprofits, NGO's, or service learning.
  • Master's degree, with academic preparation in a related discipline.
  • The position requires knowledge of student development and program development.
  • It requires a demonstrated awareness and knowledge of identity based student needs, leadership development techniques, strong facilitation skills, and the implementation of effective initiatives.
