Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology - University of Nevada, Las Vegas Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders

A Postdoctoral Fellowship specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders is available at the UNLV Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders starting July 1, 2015. UNLV CASD is a research, service, and teaching center that has been serving the Las Vegas valley since 2006. Our mission is to be a central support for families and leaders in autism spectrum and related disorders through innovation, research, and mentorship of new professionals. The fellow will devote the majority of his or her time to three major functions: 1) conducting psychological assessments and evaluations of clients referred through the state of Nevada Autism Treatment Assistance Program; 2) participation in the CASD multidisciplinary diagnostic team; and 3) assisting with supervision of some practicum/internship students engaged in provision of services listed above. The fellow will develop skills required for entry into independent functioning as a psychologist consistent with pursuing a career in autism spectrum and related disorders. The fellow will receive the requisite supervision for licensure and will be provided training and mentorship by faculty experts affiliated with UNLV CASD. The CASD multidisciplinary team includes clinical psychology, educational psychology, behavior analysis, developmental and behavioral pediatrics, pediatric genetics, genetic counseling, speech and language pathology, social work, and in 2015 will be adding neurology and
occupational therapy.
Minimum qualifications: Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. from an APA-accredited psychology program (including an APA accredited or APPIC approved internship). Preferred qualifications: clinical experience with autism spectrum disorders, experience working with a multidisciplinary team environment.

The fellowship begins on July 1, 2015. Salary is $45,000. Additionally, fellows are provided with a standard employee benefits package that includes fifteen days of paid vacation plus medical and dental plan options.
