Principal Duties and Repsonsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership for intake, diagnostic and intervention services, as well as clinical program development.
- Supervise multidisciplinary clinical services staff.
- Plan, implement, or assist with graduate student training and supervision per State of Michigan requirements.
- Provide individual, group, and family psychological services for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families.
- Evaluate and diagnose people with ASD and related disorders using appropriate psychological assessments and/or interviews.
- Prepare accurate, timely reports and other documents related to diagnostic assessment and other service functions.
- Perform related departmental duties, as required.
- Participate in clinical research when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Autism Spectrum Disorders or Behavior Analysis required. Three years experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment with supervisory experience for at least one of those years.
- Full License (LP) as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Michigan is necessary.
- Experience in the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R) required. Those candidates that are experienced in providing differential diagnoses will be given preference.
- Experience in treating individuals with a broad range of developmental disabilities required. Those candidates with experience in treating associated psychological disorders preferred.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to multicultural issues and an ability to relate to diverse and under-represented populations is necessary.
