Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist - Fletcher Allen Health Care, The University of Vermont College of Medicine

The University of Vermont College of Medicine and Fletcher Allen Health Care are seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the clinical scholar pathway to join our team of professionals to provide family-based outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry services in Burlington, Vermont. This clinician will join five other child and adolescent psychiatrists along with a dynamic team of child and adolescent nurse practitioners, family wellness coaches, and child psychiatry fellows to provide individual and family treatment in our outpatient clinic. The outpatient clinic is located in the Vermont Center for Children, Youth, and Families, located in a 400-bed university-based general hospital, which is a principal teaching site for residents, fellows, and medical students. With over 7000 annual outpatient visits each year, the VCCYF is known internationally as a center of excellence for innovative family-based empirical assessment and treatment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for direct patient care along with supervision and teaching of child psychiatry fellows, residents, and medical students. An appreciation of the importance of and satisfaction from working as part of an innovative service model and an ability to work collaboratively are essential. An interest in clinical research, teaching, and/or public health is a plus. Knowledge of evidence-based medical practice is essential.

Applicants must have a medical degree and be board certified in psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry. Experience in outpatient and academic settings would be preferred.
