Supervisor of Pediatric Clinical Psychologist - Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD), University of Iowa Children's Hospital

The Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD), University of Iowa Children's Hospital, is seeking a supervisor to oversee all aspects of the Center for Disabilities and Development's (CDD) Psychology Department. This position manages fiscal resources, serves as liaison with hospital and community partners, leads performance improvement initiatives, participates in the strategic planning process, supervises staff members and manages staff training, and provides clinical services. Opportunities available to participate in and/or lead research initiatives and oversee graduate and doctoral-level trainees and fellows.

The CDD Psychology Department provides psychological/neuropsychological assessment and behavioral assessment and treatment with infants, children and young adults in a tertiary-level, clinical outpatient setting.

Position requirements include a master's degree in Psychology, doctoral degree desirable; 5-7 years of experience in Pediatric Clinical Psychology, including experience in psychological/neuropsychological assessment and working with young children with neurodevelopmental disabilities; experience working in a healthcare supervisory or management and eligibility for licensing as a Psychologist in the State of Iowa. Certification as a Health Service Provider is highly desirable. Knowledge of community-based disability services; expertise in applied behavior analysis; experience working with a health-care interdisciplinary team; and experience working with an electronic medical record system are desirable.

The CDD is Iowa's University Center for Excellence on Disabilities and is a clinical, research, and teaching component of the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, University of Iowa Healthcare. The CDD serves individuals with a range of neurodevelopmental disorders including brain injuries, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, genetic syndromes, epilepsy, and diverse chronic health impairments. Services are provided in an interdisciplinary setting that includes pediatricians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, speech pathologists, audiologists, educational consultants, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.
