Pathway at UCLA Extension is a postsecondary education program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Pathway's goal is to prepare young adults with intellectual disabilities for employment, independent living, and a capacity for self-directed lifelong learning through higher education at UCLA.
As Pathway approaches its 10 year anniversary, the program is embarking on an evolutionary plan toward greater campus inclusion and improved employment outcomes for our graduates. The Program Manager will play a direct role in supporting the staff to implement the plan and assure the continued sound financial operation of the program. Pathway is associated with the Tarjan Center
The Program Manager position will play a significant role in four areas: A) Program planning, development and implementation; B) Supervision and administration; C) Marketing and promotion; D) Financial management.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge special and general education and employment issues for people with disabilities. Skill in analyzing proposed plans and overall program offerings in order to recommend appropriate changes to curriculum and suggest new program directions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure respectful, effective, and cooperative interaction with students, instructors, staff members and other persons of various social, cultural, economic, and education backgrounds.
- Professional experience or education in the areas of promotion, marketing and staging special events. Writing skills sufficient to compose course descriptions, advertising copy, reports, correspondence and other written materials which are grammatically correct, and clear and appropriate in style, length, and content.
- Ability to coherently and efficiently plan, organize, set priorities for, and implement of a multifaceted set of activities and complex programs in accordance with the requirements imposed by overlapping deadlines.
- Demonstrated management skills, and exceptional supervisory skills. Skill in planning and preparation of fiscal budgets, including comparative trends, for use in budgetary review meetings.

Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Education, Higher Education, Public Administration, or related education. Extensive experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities in inclusive community settings. Extensive experience may be substituted for the degree requirements.
Hiring Salary Range: $3568-$4084/monthly
