Founded in 1949, NYSARC, Inc. is a 102,000 member, family governed, professionally managed, not-fo-profit advocacy and service organization, with 48 community chapters operating programs in every county in New York, serving over 60,000 individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (I/DD).

NYSARC, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director to provide direction and leadership in furthering the Organization's philosophy and mission.

Necessary qualifications include:  Master's Degree or equivalent; 10 years' senior leadership experience at multifaceted organization, with expertise in nonprofit sector and developmental disability community favored; skill, knowledge, and experience in interacting and advocating with state and federal governments, and constituencies; demonstrated ability in developing and implementing organizational change and growth with strategic business and financial plans; understanding of funding and regulatory systems of NYS and Federal agencies for services for people with I/DD; and extensive managerial experience, demonstrating collaborative supervisory style for managing within a culturally and politically diverse environment/community.
