The President and Chief Executive Officer of JBCC is the visionary, strategic, and operational leader of the Center. He/she will work with the board of trustees to further develop and refine JBCC's strategic vision to translate research into practice, and to bring evidence-based prevention and care to children and youth with social, behavioral, psychiatric and/or learning challenges and their families, with a particular concern for children in disadvantaged circumstances. He/she is responsible for leading the staff in executing on the vision. As a chief steward of JBCC's resources, he/she is tasked with sustaining and growing the organization by attracting appropriate funding and philanthropic support, and ensuring efficacious allocation of its resources. In addition, the President and Chief Executive Officer acts as the public face of JBCC, engaging in external and policy activities that support children's mental health. He/she is charged with building and nurturing partnerships within Boston's health and human services community and engaging relevant national organizations.
