Psychology Post-doctoral Fellowship-Child Psychology with Underserved Populations (Developmental Disabilities & Child Welfare) - Westchester Institute for Human Development, Valhalla, NY

The Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD)-UCEDD is currently seeking applicants for post-doctoral fellows for the 2014-2015 year.  Located 30 minutes north of New York City, this is a full time APPIC-member post-doctoral fellowship for graduates from clinical, school, counseling, or educational psychology doctoral programs. It offers a broad variety of training experiences with extensive individual and group supervision, such as assessment /intervention with children in foster care & their families, assessment/training in early childhood disabilities/autism spectrum disorder, behavioral interventions in the clinic, community, and through school consultation, professional seminars, supervision opportunities with Master's level students, and participation in grant-funded specialty programs in foster care and disabilities. 

Psychology Post-doctoral Fellows are also given release time of a full day per week to take part in a 9-month, federally-funded Leadership Training in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) featuring developmental disabilities training from a multi-disciplinary perspective (with content in clinical issues, family-centered care, cultural competence, public health, policy and advocacy, and evidence-based practice), participation in team projects & research groups, attendance at local/national conferences, and opportunities to develop presentation, grant-writing, & legislative advocacy skills.
