Director, OHSU UCEDD - Associate Director, OHSU Institute on Development & Disability

This is a senior leadership position within the OHSU Institute on Development & Disability (IDD). The mission of the IDD is to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities or special health needs through leadership and effective partnerships with individuals, families, communities, and public and private agencies. The IDD is committed to excellence in interdisciplinary clinical practice, research, education, policy development, and community service.

We are seeking a well-rounded, creative individual with vision, problem-solving skills and experience in interdisciplinary collaboration with an interest in children and adults with disabilities and special health needs. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the IDD Director in the furtherance of OHSU's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.


Responsibilities are divided into five categories:

  • Administrative
  • Scholarship/research
  • Education and training
  • Community relations and dissemination
  • Externally-funded portfolio the applicant's area of expertise

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MD, PhD, or appropriate terminal degree
  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership and program management
  • Demonstrated experience leading research activities
  • Externally funded research portfolio
  • Teaching & training experience
  • Experience developing & maintaining organizational budgets
  • Experience managing grants and contracts
