House Passes Autism CARES Act Today
"AUCD is so pleased to see that Congress has worked in a bipartisan, bicameral way to reach consensus on a bill to reauthorize a law that is so important to so many people with ASD and other DD and their families," stated Kim Musheno, AUCD's Director of Public Policy. "We hope the Senate will take quick action as well."

CCD Statement on Autism CARES Act
On June 9, 2014 Senators Menendez and Enzi introduced the Autism CARES Act, a bill to reauthorize the Combating Autism Act. The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities released this statement of support.

Combating Autism Reauthorization Act of 2014 Introduced in the House
Bill includes five year continued authorization for funding LEND and DBP training programs
On Friday, May 9, Representatives Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Mike Doyle (D-PA) introduced a bill to reauthorize the Combating Autism Act for five years. The bill, HR 4631, has 35 bipartisan cosponsors.
