The Mailman Center Audiology Trainees Present Their Poster "Preparing Professionals for Working with Children who are Multiply Involved"

The Mailman Center audiology trainees were fortunate enough to present their poster "Preparing Professionals for Working with Children who are Multiply Involved" at the annual Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Conference in Jacksonville in April. This poster provided information for professors, clinical preceptors, trainees, and current professionals to improve the quality of training in their respective programs.

The documentary "Questions of Discrimination" portrays national and state disability advocates discussing the impact questions of "character and fitness" which screen for mental health disabilities have on applicants and diversity in the legal profession. AUCD's Andy Imparato is featured in this documentary.

MCH-Nutrition Training Program: Grantee Information

Currently six centers of excellence are funded to provide leadership education and training for graduate-level trainees and fellows and to deliver continuing education (CE) for the MCH nutrition workforce. These centers focus on clinical and public health nutrition to improve the health of infants, children, adolescents, children with special health care needs, mothers, and their families.

Senator Harkin Introduces 'Six By '15 Campaign'

During an evening reception at the Disability Policy Seminar, Senator Harkin officially announced the start of the "6 By '15" campaign - an national effort to work on six national goals by the end of 2015, the year that marks the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and 40th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
