David presented "Effective Transition Planning for Children with Special Health Care Needs: Recommendations for Collaborative Systems." This presentation grew from a series of projects on transition which he began last year during graduate coursework in health care systems and as a trainee in the LEND program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus in Little Rock.

AUCD Joins RAISE Family Caregivers Act Letter

AUCD joined other disability organizations by signing on to a letter in support of the Recognize, Assist, Include, Support and Engage (RAISE) Act being considered in separate House and Senate bills.


Aucd signed onto a Letter in Support of Clarifying Regulations for Title I of the Every Student Succeeds Act

AUCD signed onto a letter urging the Department of Education to issue strong regulations that clarify how school districts must demonstrate compliance with the "supplement, not supplant" requirement in Title I of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).


CCD letter in response to National Health Interview Survey


AUCD has signed on to a letter developed by CCD, PIPC, and the Friends of NCBDDD in response to the concerns that the number of disability related questions might be reduced in the National Health Interview Survey. The letter provides a justification for continuing to include the broad range of questions.
