The COCA Award is presented to a UCEDD that has exhibited the strongest commitment to support the full and active participation of self-advocates and family members on its consumer advisory council.

"The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) of the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (FCIC) is a vibrant and engaged group of individuals that collectively guide and contribute to the work of the UCEDD. Dr. Elizabeth Perkins, FCIC's Associate Director, summarizes the value of the CAC as follows, ‘We are forever indebted to the altruism, dedication, and determination of our CAC members to truly "make a difference"'.
