"Dr. Stodden is a tenured, full professor in the College of Education, and a family member of individuals with disabilities, who has more than 35 years' experience as a researcher, teacher trainer, and teacher of secondary students with disabilities. He is also a nationally renowned scholar in the areas of educational policy development and evidence-based practice whose work has impacted educational systems and classroom practices on local, national and international levels. Those of us who have worked with Dr. Stodden at the Center on Disability Studies have a difficult time imagining a more worthy recipient for this honor of lifetime service, productivity, and achievement."
