Wayne Stuberg, PhD, Named Associate Director of Munroe-Meyer Institute

Position includes serving as UCEDD Director

Wayne Stuberg, Ph.D., has been appointed associate director of the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Dr. Stuberg has been at MMI since 1984 and has been director of the physical therapy department since 1987. His interest in developmental disabilities goes back to his student days at UNMC in the late 1970s.

Dr. Stuberg is a physical therapist, a pediatric certified specialist and a member of the Fellows of the American Physical Therapy Association. He earned his undergraduate, master's and doctorate degrees at UNMC.

Since 2010, Dr. Stuberg has been coordinating educational programming across the institute as part of MMI's University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) grant. This project enabled him to work in an interdisciplinary fashion across MMI's 13 different departments. His appointment as Associate Director includes responsibility to serve as the UCEDD Director.

Dr. Stuberg said the new position will enable him to "expand and give myself new challenges as it relates to doing more interdisciplinary work in the institute."
