The Institute for Community Inclusion, in collaboration with TransCen and the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services, is requesting applications from states to join the new Employment Learning Community (ELC). A key component of the ELC is support to states that are developing or enhancing a state-level consortium focused on systems change that will lead to improved employment outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Five to ten states will be selected, and will receive technical assistance to support consortium development and systems change. Each state will be expected to participate in the ELC for 24 months, with an option to re-apply at the end of the 24-month period. Applications are due by May 31st.

The ELC is a five-year project funded by the Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. It will assist states in improving systems and services to increase inclusive, competitive employment for people with IDD.
