Angie Rivera, UC Davis (CA UCEDD) Is Honored for Her Role in Fostering Inclusion

Angie Rivera, on the staff of the Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the UC Davis MIND Institute, was honored at the 17th Annual Supported Life Institute's Inclusion Celebration on October 6 as an outstanding role model in supporting community inclusion of all people, including people with developmental disabilities.

Angie is a retired early childhood special education teacher who has been a passionate advocate for Spanish speaking families with children with disabilities for many years. She is one of the founders of Fiesta Educativa in Sacramento, which provides information and assistance to Latino families in obtaining services and in caring for children with special needs.
