The Oklahoma Autism Network and the Irwin H. Brown Office of Continuing Medical Education, both at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, have collaborated to offer an on-line continuing medical education course on autism spectrum disorders. This web-based course provides an overview of the American Academy of Pediatrics Guidelines for screening and medical management of ASD.  The course is presented by Dr. Paul Carbone from the University of Utah.

While this course was primarily designed for physicians it includes information that is beneficial for caregivers and a wide range of professionals.  The course is available for free or for Continuing Medical Education Credit for $25.00.  You can access the course by going to the Oklahoma Autism Network website here.

Contact the Oklahoma Autism Network for more information regarding this course or for information about autism screening and diagnosis of ASD.  Funding for this course was made available through the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services.
