Dr. Mary Beth Bruder Receives The 2009 Mary McEvoy Award

Dr. Bruder was honored on October 15, 2009 at the opening ceremony of the 25th Annual Division of Early Childhood International Conference on Young Children with Special Needs & their Families in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Mary McEvoy Service to the Field Award is given to an outstanding professional who has made notable and significant national or international contributions to the field of early childhood special education.  It is given in memory of Mary McEvoy who was a leader in the early childhood special education field.

Dr Bruder received the award through a nominating process that included written testimony from her colleagues from around the country. She has been an actively involved in the field of early childhood intervention for 33 years, and a member of DEC since its inception.
