Ponder Ideaworks Receives 2009 Communicator Award for Film

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA -- June 18, 2009 - The 15th Annual Communicator Awards recognized Ponder Ideaworks with an Award of Distinction for "Talent Knows No Limits," a film to increase employment in California. The film was created for the California Health Incentives Improvement Project administered by the Interwork Institute at San Diego State University.

"Talent Knows No Limits" is introduced by California's First Lady Maria Shriver. The film breaks-down barriers to hiring people with disabilities as told by successful employers throughout the State.

Featured prominently are: Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Chevron North America, Saddleback Memorial Hospital, American Honda Motor Company, American Eagle Outfitters, Starbucks and International Creative Management (ICM). California leads by example as told in the stories from the California Health Incentives Improvement Project, the Governor's Office and the Kern County District Attorney's Office.

"Disability is not an inability," said executive producer, Claudia Ponder, "It was a privilege to tell the stories of these successful employees and their employers."

The Communicator Award is an international creative awards program honoring creative excellence. The 2009 Annual Communicator Awards received over 7000 entries. The International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) judge and oversee the Communicator Awards.
