Participatory Action Research (PAR) is used to involve people with disabilities and their families in research activities. The PAR Toolkit developed in collaboration with the Oregon Institute on Disability & Development provides a thoughtful overview of PAR, discusses why and how agencies should get involved in research and details how to involve people with disabilities and their families. The PAR Toolkit also includes a curriculum intended as a tool for use by UCEDD professionals and Community Advisory Councils' representatives using or planning to use a PAR approach to improving the health of people with disabilities.
