The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by NICHD is to solicit applications to support a national program of mentored advanced career development and training in research for junior faculty in pediatric critical care medicine at research-intensive institutions. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award (K12) grant award mechanism. -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The NICHD intends to commit approximately $800,000 in direct costs in FY 2009 to fund applications in response to this FOA.
