Board Members Honored for their Service to the Organization

November 14, 2007, Washington, DC: Members of the Board of Directors were honored for their service today at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) Annual Meeting and Conference.

 

Service to the Organization Award

Three outgoing Members of AUCD's Board of Directors were honored for their service. The AUCD Service to the Organization Award was presented to

Frederick B. Palmer, MD, Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities, University of Tennessee (service from 2000-2007)

M. Bryce Fifield, PhD, North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities, Minot State University (service from 2003-2007)

Steven M. Koch, PhD, Riley Child Development Center, Indiana University (service from 2004-2007)

President's Award

AUCD outgoing President Royal Walker, Jr., JD hands the gavel to new AUCD President William Kiernan, PhD

The outgoing President of AUCD's Board of Directors was honored as he transtioned to a term as Past President.

The AUCD President's Award was presented to Royal P. Walker, Jr., JD, Institute for Disability Studies, University of Southern Mississippi in recognition of his most sucessful term of office (service as President from 2006-2007)
