Each year, approximately 4.1 million babies are born in this country. About 15-19,000 of these newborns will have a treatable condition for which a screening test is available. This webcast provides information about the infrastructure of a newborn screening program and identify key areas where the program can break down. The speaker provides information about the history and future of newborn screening and what other states are doing in this area.
