AUCD Network Members and Central Office Staff Present at Spina Bifida Association Conference

Members of the AUCD Network along with Central Office staff Sue Lin (Project Director, AUCD-NCBDDD Cooperative Agreement) and David Morrissey (2007 AUCD Policy Fellow) attended the Spina Bifida Association (SBA) 34th Annual Conference, June 24-27, 2007, in Louisville, KY. The conference brought together youth and adults with spina bifida (SB), family members, researchers, clinicians, and professionals to learn and share knowledge in topical areas of medicine, education, service and volunteerism, employment, transition, independent living, and health promotion. Research Topics of Interest (RTOI) Researchers, who were also members of the SBA's Professional Advisory Committee (PAC), informed conference attendees on groundbreaking new projects to reduce variability of clinical care and create patient registry to foster research and improve medical approaches. Among the topics presented throughout the conference by the AUCD Network were the following.
