AUCD signed an amicus brief in Endrew v. Douglas County School District, a case in which the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling affirming IDEA protections in March 2017. The Court's decision reinforced the right of every child to an opportunity to meet "appropriately ambitious" academic objectives, and rejected the notion that minimal benefit through education is legally sufficient. The amicus brief was issued by the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN).
