Daphnee Guillaume is the Public Health Program Manager at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD), under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager, Disability and Public Health. Reducing Relapse Focus of New Study at MMI (NE UCEDD/LEND)

Vanderbilt Kennedy Center (TN UCEDD, LEND, IDDRC) TRIAD pilot works to provide ASD Diagnostic Services in Primary Care Setting

The Munroe-Meyer Institute's Brian Greer, Ph.D., will be the site PI on a new grant written with principal investigator Timothy Shahan, Ph.D., of Utah State University, that will explore ways to reduce relapse in children who engage is severe problem behavior. The multicenter R01 application, titled "Resurgence as Choice: Basic and Clinical Studies," will be funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.

UW-Madison Supports Scholarship Fund for Children with Special Needs (WI UCEDD/WECP)

The Athletic Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison designated the Waisman Center's Early Childhood Program as the recipient of proceeds from the Spring Football Game in April. Game receipts were directed towards the Scholarship Fund to provide tuition assistance for children enrolled in WECP, an inclusive program for children ages 1 through 5 located in the Waisman Center's UCEDD. Michael Knox, PhD Retires from The Boggs Center (NJ UCEDD/LEND)Michael Knox, PhD, deputy director and assistant professor of pediatrics, retired after 33 years with The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Knox directed The Boggs Center's financial and administrative operations. He also served as research coordinator, chaired the Center's evaluation team, and conducted health service research with a focus on developmental disabilities. A licensed social worker, he served as a field instructor for master's of social work (MSW) interns in nonprofit and public management from Rutgers University. Read more...

New Research Explores Disability at the Household Level (MT UCEDD)A new RTC:Rural Research Brief by RTC:Rural partner Christiane von Reichert, Ph.D., Professor of Geography at the University of Montana, presents research on disability rates at the household level. The brief, titled "Prevalence of Disability: Individual and Household Context" is available for download on the Geography and Rural Disability page on the RTC:Rural website.This work highlights the number of people without disabilities who live in households with someone with a disability, and contributes to a larger study on migration and disability and rural/urban differences in disability levels.
