AUCD signed on to a letter encouraging to House and Senate Appropriations Committees to increase the amount of funding (known as 302(b) allocations) that they give to their respective Labor-HHS-Education subcommittees in order to determine funding for programs in those policy areas. If they were given increased funding, the two subcommittees in question (the House Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittee and the Senate Labor-HHS Appropriations Subcommittee) would have greater resources with which to fund important education, employment and health-related programs included in the President's FY2017 budget request.
