Monthly Assistive Technology Demonstration Days (PA UCEDD)

November 2, 2015

The Institute on Disabilities at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA is holding free "Assistive Technology Demonstration Days" on the university's main campus once a month through December.

"Demo Days" is an easy way for people with disabilities to gain practical, "hands on" experience with assistive technology devices.

Each month offers a guided exploration of assistive technology focusing on a different topic, to compare and contrast device features designed to help the consumer make a decision about purchasing a device.

For example, in September, the focus was on assistive technology for reading, note taking and writing for people with learning and/or cognitive disabilities; in October, it was devices for people who have low vision or are blind.

Both the September and October Demo Days were great successes, with full days of appointments.
