In Appreciation of Your Advocacy, Leadership, and Service

“Ken has developed as a self-advocate, moving from a person without much formal training in self-advocacy to a nationally recognized leader in self-advocacy. He now serves on the President’s Committee for Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and travels extensively speaking about his life and self-advocacy. He is a moving and motivational teacher and mentor, and has worked with legislators, judges, families, professionals, and many others to advance the purposes of self-advocacy. Ken changes lives and has moved many people as selfadvocates toward greater independence and self-determination."
