On Sunday evening immediately before the Disability Policy Seminar, AUCD is hosting a special Trainee Policy Summit. Attendees will have exclusive access to Hill staffers and former trainees now working in policy, and learn from the experts how to best craft your message for Wednesday's Hill visits. An evening reception will provide a comfortable background for trainees to meet and network with over 200 peers from around the country.
For Whom: This event is exclusively for AUCD trainees and faculty and invited guests.

Agenda: A tentative agenda is posted at right, along with homework/materials to help you prepare for your trip and Hill visits.
Assignments:
- Watch the video below to learn more about the Seminar
- Read this "Quick Start Guide to Educating Policy Makers"
- Use the document at right to learn more about the Policy Seminar and a simple "homework" assignment that will prepare you for your trip.
- Bring state-specific table decorations so you can quickly be identified by others from your state!

2017 AUCD tshirts - show your AUCD pride and solidarity by wearing a tshirt designed by a network trainee. Look for more information on the listserve, website, and social media to (1) participate in the shirt design contest and (2) order your shirt. For those who have pre-paid for shirts, you can pick them up on Sunday at the Trainee Summit. If you haven't yet paid for a shirt, don't worry! We'll have a limited number available for sale at $15 each on Sunday. We encourage but do not require everyone to wear the shirts on Monday during DPS, as we see just how strong AUCD is as a group. If you're concerned about professional dress for the Seminar, remember there are many ways to dress up a t-shirt under a blazer or cardigan if you choose.
State Pride: Table Decorations - DPS attendees will be seated by state grouping for a portion of the Seminar on Monday morning. Show your state pride and be easily identified by others from your state by bringing something to decorate your table! We've seen a huge inflatable cactus (AZ), a cheesehead (WI), cheerleading pompons, and several license plates. Can you top that? Now's your chance to show off!
