Webinar Description:
This webinar is the result of a collaboration between the AUCD Research and Evaluation and Leadership in Advocacyy Councils. The focus of the presenters will be on research methods and models that are inclusive; that is, research practices that include individuals with disabilities and/or family members as contributing members of the research team. Both presenters have extensive experience in disability research utilizing these approaches."

Presenterers:
Susan Yuan has been a member of the AUCD COLA since it was formed, and served for three years as family co-chair. She is the mother of Andreas, a 42 year old, bicultural man who communicates by typing. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology the year after he graduated from high school. She worked at the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion at the University of Vermont, serving for her last 5 years as Associate Director. She was involved with COLA's initiative on Participatory Action Research, and co-taught a course on this subject at the University of Vermont.
Sally Gould-Taylor, PhD is the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University. She is responsible for the development, engagement and support of research protocol, method and analysis throughout the Institutes various programs and initiatives. Sally has worked on both qualitative and quantitative research projects in diverse fields of human services, disability, and education. Additionally, she has taught at Temple for seven years. Sally earned her PhD in Urban Education with a focus on Anthropology of Education. Sally is currently conducting a PA Developmental Disabilities Council funded research project on successful secondary transition among youth with disabilities in Pennsylvania. Sally is also currently leading the Comprehensive Statewide Needs Assessment for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation in Pennsylvania.
