2015 Disability Policy Seminar

This unique event offers you the opportunity to come together for two days with other advocates, individuals with I/DD, experts and professionals in the field and learn about the issues. On the third day, take the valuable information covered during the Seminar to Capitol Hill and speak directly with your representatives about the issues that are important to you.

Seminar Program App
The DPS 2015 mobile app serves as a companion to the printed program during the Disability Policy Seminar. It includes a scheduling feature, a list of presenters, social media, maps, and much more. It's also great for networking throughout the event (and even after its conclusion!) since you can create a profile and connect with other attendees.
All your DPS materials will be at your fingertips with the app, which is especially helpful during your Hill visits. Fact sheets and tips will be readily accessible, and you can even submit your legislative contact reports through the app immediately after your visits with Members of Congress and their staff. Take advantage of all of the app's features that will help you feel organized and prepared for all the valuable information available to you throughout the Seminar.

This webinar will offer students, trainees and early career professionals an orientation to the policy issues and current legislation one can expect to learn more about at the 2015 Disability Policy Seminar. In addition, attendees will learn the basics of how to meet with Congressional representatives and deliver a unified message about federally funded programs that benefit people with disabilities. - 2015 AUCD Trainee Policy Summit

On Sunday evening immediately before the Disability Policy Seminar, AUCD is hosting a special Trainee Policy Summit! Attendees will have exclusive access to Hill staffers and former trainees now working in policy, and learn from the experts how to best craft your message for Wednesday's Hill visits. An evening reception sponsored by JPMorgan Chase & Co will provide a comfortable background for trainees to meet and network with over 200 peers from around the country.
