2014 CAAI Virtual Poster Symposium
3:00 PM EDT - 5:00 PM EDT
Location: webinar
CAAI grantees are cordially invited to present at and participate in our first CAAI Virtual Poster Symposium!
What is a Virtual Poster Symposium?
A virtual poster symposium expands the concept of a poster presentation beyond the walls of a conference hall. This event will share a wide variety of successes CAAI grantees have experienced in the identification, assessment, diagnosis, and services to children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities and their families.
The purpose of this virtual poster session is to:
- Allow presenters to display and discuss their posters to a greater audience than in regular conference settings
- Encourage new partnerships and collaborations that reach beyond disciplines
- Solicit feedback from fellow CAAI grantees on a project
- Create an online catalog of CAAI grantees' accomplishments people can view at their leisure
Event Format
- The virtual symposium will last approximately 90-120 minutes
- Selected posters will be presented live; all accepted posters will be showcased online
- Each live presenter will have approximately 6-8 minutes to present highlights of their poster
- Attendees will have access to the original poster in it's full format as well as approximately 5 slides of the proposal highlights
- The virtual discussion session will last approximately 90-120 minutes
- The discussion sessions will focus on topics presented during the virutal poster symposium; attendees will choose one facilitated discussion session to attend
- These sessions will provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss, collaborate and problem solve with fellow grantees on common areas of interest
- The Online Poster Exhibition is now OPEN!
- The Poster Exhibition will feature additional CAAI Grantee posters to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn more about the work Grantees are doing to improve the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities and their families
