About the Conference:

The conference will be an interactive, working meeting that will result in concrete recommendations the ISE can use to establish a five-year interagency research agenda. The conference will concentrate on the following core themes:

  • Business and Employment: A Global and Technology Driven Environment;
  • Disability and Workforce Experience and Needs: Issues and Research;
  • Health: A Competitive Disability Workforce; and
  • Government Policies and Practices: Role and Effect.

Target Audiences:

  • Senior policy representatives from all ISE federal agency participants;
  • Additional U.S. government officials and experts;
  • Employers engaged or interested in creating 21st century jobs and businesses;
  • Leading disability and business researchers;
  • Individuals with disabilities;
  • Leaders from the disability advocacy community; and
  • Other individuals, associations, educational institutions, and governmental entities engaged in promoting inclusion of (skilled) persons with disabilities in America's workforce.
