Advocates, educators, researchers, and anyone with an interest in literacy for adults with disabilities is welcome at this conference. =0D=0A=0D=0AA program of The OSU Nisonger Center, Next Chapter Book Club (NCBC) was founded in 2002 to provide people and adults with IDD - regardless of reading ability - the chance to be members of a book club.". NCBC offers weekly opportunities for people with IDD to read and learn together and make friends in a relaxed, community setting. Expanding from two book clubs in Columbus, OH to over 250 clubs across North America and Europe, NCBC has become the preeminent program of its kind.=0D=0A=0D=0AFor any person or organization interested in becoming an NCBC affiliate, we will once again offer a pre-conference affiliate training. The much-reduced cost for the pre-conference training is $199 per person.=0D=0A=0D=0AAdditionally, we are now accepting proposals for presentations. While presentations about NCBC are certainly welcome, we also encourage presenters to explore a variety of topics and render innovative ideas about how people with IDD can engage in literacy and lifelong learning.
