This creates lowered quality of life, reduced ability to perform ADL's.=0D=0A=0D=0AThe webinar concept that we propose would serve several roles. It would highlight the realities of medical refractory seizures and all of the challenges, it would point to the clear need for a team approach to care, it would help to appreciate person centered care and values, it would also most importantly provide a solution to these problems which begins be being able to accurately tract/monitor seizures.=0D=0A=0D=0AWe also wish to help the advocates, support staff/families in being able to form partnerships with their healthcare professionals. We would create an invitation letter to the healthcare team that would be brought to them from the patient and support staff. This letter would explain seizure tracker and its intent. The goal would be for the docs to begin to respect the data and input and therefore we would wish to help over time the education and growth of knowledge eventually leading to better outcomes. We would hold blogs/chats using eCommnities in collaboration with the Epilepsy Foundation to assist training. We would then like to hold a followup webinar months later and invite everyone back including the healthcare professionals in an effort for all of us to learn. We want to provide information but we also want to show that we we've made a real difference.=0D=0A=0D=0ANathan Fountain, MD Director Epilepsy Program, Univ. of Virgina, and Robert Moss, Co-Founder SeizureTracker Foundation will be presenting. Seth Keller, MD Immediate Past President AADMD will be moderating. A Q & A session will follow the talks.=0D=0A=0D=0A =0D=0A PRIORITY:3 URL:http://www.aucd.org/template/event.cfm?event_id=3326&id=965 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
