Forging New Partnerships for New Challenges Through Research, Education and Service

October 29-November 1, 2006

AUCD ANNUAL MEETING UPDATE

Registration Now Open for the 2006 AUCD Annual Meeting.  On behalf of the AUCD, the Program Planning Committee and Royal Walker, Program Chairperson, we invite you to register for the 2006 Annual Meeting and Conference, October 29-November 1, 2006 at the Renaissance Washington, DC, Hotel.  This year's meeting promises to be exceptionally innovative and informative as we explore and dialogue about "Forging New Partnerships for New Challenges through Research, Education and Service."

With the theme of the conference focusing on partnership, you will have an opportunity to explore the AUCD network's collaborative efforts in leadership; new and exemplary partnerships at the international, national, state, and local levels; policymaking initiatives; supports and services to families and individuals; and training and technical assistance as instruments of addressing change.  You will hear from our federal agency partners, including details about new program initiatives and funding opportunities.  You will learn how partnerships, networks and other formal and informal collaborations can help realize the vision of full participation of persons with disabilities and their families.

The AUCD Conference is your place to be in October.  You won't want to miss this opportunity to learn and network!

Join us for the opening plenary by Mike Winer, a nationally recognized expert on collaboration and creating partnerships.
