Vita/Bio

Mary Alice Favro is the Clinical Assistant Professor in Speech/Language Pathology for the Vermont Interdisciplinary Leadership Education for Health Professionals Program (VT-ILEHP). She teaches graduate level courses in Augmentative Communication and in the VT-ILEHP seminars on NDD. Before coming to UVM, she worked with children 0 to 3 years in a home-based early intervention program and in school systems as an Augmentative Communication Specialist. Particular areas of interest include community and classroom-based communication programming for students with multiple disabilities and supporting adults with developmental disabilities to become effective communicators.
