PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

1988 ? present:   Audiologist, Hearing and Speech Department, University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.  Perform routine and special diagnostic auditory assessment with emphasis in pediatrics. Auditory Brainstem Response and otoacoustic emission assessment. Provide assessment for specialty pediatric clinics including: Cleft Palate Clinic, Brain Tumor Clinic, Childhood Autism Referral and Evaluation Clinic, Cerebral Palsy Clinic, and Developmental Evaluation Clinic Hearing aid evaluation, fitting and follow?up including programmable hearing aids. Cochlear implant evaluation, programming and follow-up. Provide auditory training and aural rehabilitation therapy. Member of an interdisciplinary team to evaluate children with developmental disabilities. Serve as evaluation coordinator for interdisciplinary evaluations. Provide graduate student supervision. Teach graduate level courses and/or lectures. Oversee/maintain daily clinic functions. Responsible for clinical practicum placements for audiology graduate students.
