Vita/Bio

Anne has a split appointment with the Department of Communicative Disorders and the Waisman Center University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. Her area of specialization is aural habilitation of infants and toddlers with hearing loss. She also has interests in early identification of hearing loss, cochlear implants, dual sensory impairment, auditory neuropathy, fetal alcohol syndrome, and autism. Anne has been on the clinical faculty at the University of Wisconsin since 1988; she provides clinical training in family-centered care for infants and toddlers with hearing loss, as well as for young children with significant communication delays and multiple disabilities. Highlighted Activities * Consultant to the Wisconsin Sound Beginnings program, which is charged with implementing universal newborn hearing screening and follow-up for the state of Wisconsin. * Discipline training coordinator for speech and language in Maternal Child Health-Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at the Waisman Center. * Member of ASHA Special Division 9-Hearing Loss in Children
