Vita/Bio

Shelley Dumas, Ph.D., Director of Community Education, Texas Center for Disability Studies, a University Center for Excellence in Disability Education, Research, and Service, University of Texas at Austin. For the past 25 years, Dr. Dumas has worked with individuals and families as well as national, state and local agencies and organizations in program development and evaluation as well as training and technical assistance, in the areas of self-determination, person-centered practices, and inclusive community and education practices for people with developmental disabilities and their families. She is the parent of an adult with developmental disabilities.
