        Planned and implemented lessons in all subject areas.

       Presented a thematic unit on the Washington D.C. which utilized a KWL Chart, cooperative learning, and concepts of reading, writing, and mathematics. 

        Made appropriate accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities.

        Assisted cooperating teacher in parent-conferences.

       Documented student attendance, lunch orders, and grades.

 

Resource Room

1st - 3rd Grade

        Planned and presented 1:1 and small group lessons in reading, writing, and mathematics. 

       Presented a 1:1 unit on route counting to a student with a moderate developmental disability.  By unit's end, the student could count from 1-15. 

        Actively participated in faculty meetings regarding curriculum design.

        Plan and execute 6 committee meetings and 6 public forums per year.

       Facilitate constructive conversation among individuals with disabilities and family members.

       Conduct an annual survey with individuals and family member

       Report all outcomes to the director of the Center.

 

Rhode Island Family Literacy Initiative,  Providence, RI  2004 - 2008

Children's Teacher

 

       Planned and implemented literacy lessons for students 3-12 years old.

      Collaborated with lead teacher to plan and implement family activities.

         Created materials and experiences to increase parents' comfort in communicating child's school and teacher.

        Connected families to other library, school, and community programs.
