Vita/Bio
Virginie Diambou is the secretary of the National Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) Multicultural Council. She is also a cultural broker for SBIRT (Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment) program that focuses on substance abuse prevention and mental health promotion in the refugee and immigrant communities.
Within VT LEND Virginie is responsible for developing and coordinating effective community outreach to culturally and linguistically diverse populations and managing internship placements for trainees and fellows.
Virginie Diambou is a former VT LEND fellow. Prior to coming to the US, she earned a Medical Doctor degree, as well as a Certificate in special studies in radio-diagnostic and medical imaging.
She has worked in the nursing department of the CHCB (Community Health Centers of Burlington) for nine years before joining VT LEND.
