Early Social Orienting in Siblings of Children With ASD
The development of social orienting behaviors in the domains of affect and attention will be examined longitudinally in two sibling groups: younger siblings of children with autism spectrum disorders and younger siblings of typically-developing children who are CA-matched. Endpoint comparisons between the sibling groups and matched samples of children with autism and with developmental delay will be used to understand the developmental trajectory of social orienting in children at elevated risk for autism.
