Oversee the daily responsibilities of a program that serves students with special education needs, who are in the custody of the RI Child Welfare System.  Ensure goals and objectives of program are achieved in accordance with a Federal Court Order.  Supervise and support program staff of six.

Appointed by the RI Department of Education to propose, monitor and review special education plans for children in the care of the Department of Children, Youth and Families.  Manage a substantial caseload of students, aged 3-21, who attend public, alternative and residential schools.  Effectively participate in Special Education Team meetings, IEP meetings, discipline meetings as well as residential and hospital discharge meetings.  Provide training, information, guidance and support to parents, foster parents and staff of community based agencies.  Maintain records and data collection focusing on compliance and positive outcomes of program.
